A picture of me taking it easy

I'm currently on parental leave till September. During that time, I will not read any e-mail or blog comments.

Until I'm back, please read through my archives, take a look at my code/applications and check out my pictures.

Have a great summer, and a splendid winter to you aussies and kiwis! :-)

Frappr - A group map

Published on Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

First, I like it for its name; probably because it reminds me of frappuccino. Frappr is a way to share group photos and locations. Please, please add your location and an image of choice at the robertnyman map! :-)

Thanks to Asterisk for pointing me to this.

Update: You don’t have to add an image, but please just enter where you live and a shoutout!

I’ve been seeing these maps all over the place. The most impressive was digg’s… the browser locked up for several seconds.. i guess gmaps isn’t all that scalable. ;) lol

good idea, robert. if i had enough visitors i’d do the same. ;)

    andr3, Jens,

Thank you, and thanks to everyone else for adding themselves.

However, since I know that I have a fairly large number of readers from North America, I’d be happy if they added themselves too! Who will be first? :-)

That also goes for all you Asians and Australians/New Zealanders that frequent this web site: make sure Europe isn’t the only continent presented in the map!

Not too many showing up in North America yet…I’m happy to be #2. I’m in good company over here with Derek!

    Shane,

    I’m happy for that!

There are actually two already, Derek and Jonathan Snook. Problem is, they live pretty much at the same place, so it’s just one indication on the map. But if you check the member listing, you can see both and click respective person’s name.

Ahhh! I missed that! I’m happy to share a continent with Jonathan as well! I’ve never been to Canada…but I hear it’s nice.

    Shane,

I’ve been to Canada a couple of times and I really like it! It’s very similar to Sweden.
