Geek Meet February 2009, with Mark Wubben

Ready for a new Geek Meet, dear Swedes (and anyone else venturing a trip to Stockholm, Sweden) πŸ™‚

When?

Next Geek Meet will be held February 26th 18.00.

What?

I’m happy to announce that Mark Wubben, known amongst other things for his outstanding work with sIFR, will take time off his busy schedule to come to Sweden and give us two highly interesting talks. His topics are:

  • Home Made Ubicomp – Ubiquitous computing
  • sIFR – bring rich typography to the web

Where?

This time around, Geek Meet will be held at bwin, located at Klarabergsviadukten 82 just next to the central station in Stockholm (A map to the location).

As our dear sponsor, bwin will treat the attendants to:

  • Pizza
  • Beer
  • Poker School
  • Potential give-aways

Me myself, I’m very excited by the Poker School following after the talks, to improve my card playing skills! πŸ™‚

PS. Since we’ve been at Creuna for quite some time now, I guess some wonder why we now have a new location. It was rather a joint decision that for now, in spirit with the Geek Meet philosophy, to give multiple companies the chance to host it, and for regulars to get to see varying environments.

However, me and Creuna have the best of relations, I’m very grateful for what they have done and in the manner they have done it, so I feel very certain that we will be having a lovely time at a future Geek Meet at Creuna again. DS.

Updated

bwin has aranged for a total of 150 seats. There are still some left, so sign up now!

Sorry, all out of seats! If you’re still interested, leave a comment below, and you will perhaps get a chance in the case of cancellations. However, please know that the chances are slim.
