Guilherme,

Yes, I've realized that as well. I think it's a shame, since I'm personally convinced almost everyone would be hooked after 24 hours.

Oh well, it might be an option in the future, I hope.

@Robert - I'm afraid Kim is right. Apparently, you can only have a 24 pass if you already have an account. What it might not be clear is that is a free account because, of course, there's no sense in buying a pass if you already have a premium one.

I've been using Spotify for a few days now, and I'm just as amazed as you are. I certainly would recommend the 24h pass for a trial (It would be money well spent, and very little of it) but, it doesn't seem to be possible :(

If they make this option available, I'd be one more to blog encouraging this practice. For the ones in doubt, I do recommend to spend for the first month as a trial. I believe most people would be more than satisfied with the service, you'll have a huge amount of hight quality music and you'd spent about the price of a CD.

Bad usability? Err? I see a very clear and logically organised site. Zippy loading, consistent user interface, clear layout,... What more does one want?

All one has to do to get more info is scan the page for like two seconds (if you read slow), which seems too much trouble for some. Help is pontifically in your face from every page on the site. And yes, it ain't called FAQ, but that isn't a real word anyway. Remind you, not every human on earth knows the web acronyms.

For instance, my mum is far better helped with 'help' than with 'FAQ', since the second one is utterly meaningless to her.

Nah, this site is how websites should all be. Point final. Credits to the author :D

Kim,

Interesting about the Day pass; I can't see why you would need an account/invite for that, to be honest.

I have tried to purchase the 24 hr pass, offered at 99p for UK, but it just takes me to a screen to login - seems that the day passes are only available if you already have an account.

Strangely, to get an account, you have to take out a premium subscription for 9.99 per month.

I'm not interested in subscribing to a site, if I have no idea what I'm going to get, so it would seem the 24 hour pass is the ideal starter, but no go??

Very poor usability and site architecture on this site if you ask me. the about page is full of waffle and no specifics, and no link to FAQs, which I always go for on a new service. I stumbled across the FAQs somewhere, but the navigation doesn't seem to link to it.
