Guess I'm too old to find Twitter interesting, and following what other people do/feel/whatever on a distance, have never really appealed to me. I'm not even lonely enough to bother picking up the phone unless I really have to, so I have no excuse for engaging in small-talk on the web.

Think I'll stick to talking to, and (more important) listening to, the ones nearest to me - the ones within shouting-distance :-)

@Ole

Such is the new way of things -- people have that have always been very lonely inside now reach out by giving all their personal information on the internet to complete strangers. Trust me -- they know what they're doing.

Mmm I kind of like Twitter for some reason - yet still ask myself who really cares if I'm off to have a shower now :)

Great news for the stalkers though lol...

You have another follower Mr. Nyman :)

@Ole - you can lock your twitter feed down so only the people you follow can see your posts (if you so wish).

Jeroen,

Ha ha! :-)

Ole,

I completely agree with you. With me having my blog and all, I'm already very aware and conscious about what I share and what I don't. Same will go for what I'll write on Twitter.

But I think you have an excellent point that most people don't really realize that what they put out on the web is available for everyone, and once it's out there it's very hard to get rid of. People really need to consider this more.

Hm, i don't know, what i can make of these "services" like Twitter. Sure it seems to be a funny thing, but don't you be afraid of "serving" so much privacy to the whole mankind?

Would you give any answers if an unknown person on the street asks you, what you have done today? I don't think so....

I mean everyone should take care about what kind of personal data to publish. There are so many platforms (like "Facebook", "Linkedin", "Xing", etc) where people turn their whole live inside out. And i think this personal data can be abused so easily...

Sorry for my bad english, but i hope it's understandable....
