Steven,

Yeah, me too. I've hunted down the links to all presentations but three, and updated this post now at least. The Douglas Crockford seem to be available as video from other events (just do <a href="http://www.google.com/search?q=JavaScript%3A+The+Good+Parts" rel="nofollow">a Google search for JavaScript: The Good Parts</a> and you will see).

Eric,

Not sure about if actual podcasts will be available, sorry, so I hope Stuart is right. :-)

Stuart,

Ah, but you do, you big, cuddly, web dev, you! :-)

Mats,

Long gone. :-)
Good that you have some use of my code. Also, I hope your job and family is great too.

Jakob,

Yeah, it really exceeded my expectations, and that really says something, given the speaker list.

Hi Robert,

The Tarantella/Ice days seems long gone now...

Just went in on your site to pick up the "ultimate getElementsByClassName" script. In my current project I have to do some javascript/html now and then...

I hope everything is fine with you and your family. Cheers!

Eric, Steven: they do indeed plan to release audio. Slides are already up for a fair few of the presentations, on the presenters' own sites (mine are available, as are Chris Heilmann's, PPK's, Alex's, John's, etc).
Robert: I didn't know I looked like a nice guy :)

I hope they put up audio and slides later. Its an opportune time this summer (as in Australian summer) as I'm first getting up to speed with Dom Scripting and AJAX.

Unusually I've purchased several books (as books always work better for me personally as opposed to 3am hacking until it works) - DOM Scripting, Bulletproof Ajax and Stuart's DHTML Utopia. Good Australian dollar exchange rate over the last few weeks (93 cents to the US dollar at some point).

So, coupled with these and a high threshold for mental aerobics I'm hoping to fill out the skillset somewhat before the year gets too far. Audio and Slides would be really useful.

Stuart,

Just to explain: The Winnie the Pooh reference is just that you look like such a nice and friendly guy, so it didn't really match the words that were coming out of your mouth. :-)

Sometimes overacting is essential to bring home a point, so no worries on my part at least there.

Glad you liked the talk, although I'm not sure what Winnie-the-Pooh on crack would actually be like. I bet I know more about closures than he would, although maybe not a lot more.

I had a couple of people come up to me afterwards and say that they recognised themselves being caricatured a bit during the speech, and they'd try to mediate it a bit in future. Since that was basically the goal (although delivered with a huge helping of overacting) I count it as a success, especially given that one of the people was Brendan Eich :)
