They thought making it look better and having some more features would make the 200 million or so users of MySpace come over. I think MySpace is pretty unstoppable in their niche. Facebook is the new MySpace if any but it's a bit different as it is much more closed and more targeted towards college and university people. Otherwise I think someone has to come with a more radical community experience to topple MySpace. Like Second Life. Nope. It is not a MySpace killer. To late, not enough to difference it. Why not? Well for one majority of the market are still on MySpace and it will take more than pretty looks and nifty tools to make them move.
