The rich and the poor, the rational and the irrational, the pleasant and the obnoxious,
the religious and the non-believer, the well educated and the educationally challenged,
the men and the women, the old and the young,

. . .people that believe in the ‘wacky conspiracy theories’ . . .

The one thing they have in common is that they could have strong opinion on the subject matter.

But as much as they are just exercising their right to air an opinion, I bet that the intensity of their opinion is based largely on the strength of their ‘gut-feeling’, and not on the strength of the factual evidence (which they might not have taken the bother to gather).

On the other hand, even if they did bother to gather factual evidence, their competence may be questionable as to the capacity to digest and process data to a reasonable and logically coherent conclusion.

Oh well, they do come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. And because they are within their rights, these all make for a wide variety of ideas that float around. Only in a democracy can a wide spectrum of thoughts abound, from the bizarre to the believable to the brilliant.

A long time ago it was blasphemous to believe the world was not flat. Despite incontrovertible scientific proof of a spherical planet, the commoners were loathe to accept the truth. Due to ignorance and the church's influence over one's beliefs, this fallacy of a flat planet was perpetuated for centuries.....

Yes some of these theories are wacky- many are simply wrong-footed explanations for events outside the scope of one's belief system- however, some of these theories are based in scientic hypothesis and logic.

The events of 9/11 for example simply cannot be explained by the official story. The 9/11 commision report does not offer a valid scientific explanation or a mechanical model for the implosion of the WTC at near free-fall speed. Their report is full of blatant lies regarding the properties of steel and jet fuel. It OMITS the existence of the central support collumns in the WTC which were designed to carry the load of the building and survive the impact of a fully loaded 707.

There is no other way around this issue. The final report is deliberately misleading and false. In the case of buiding 7 - a 47 story building across the street that was not hit by airplanes or debris - they don't even mention the fact that it collapsed on 9/11 at near free fall rate. Building 7 is barely mentioned in the report and there remains NO official explanation for the collapse of this building.

Remember the millions of dollors worth of put options placed on United and American before 9/11? The CIA monitors trader activity like this in order to predict terroist attacks. In this case the commission failed to follow up on any leads. We know that a large number of these transactions came back to the investment bank A.B. Brown but the commision just left us with something to the effect that "this individual had no conceivable connection to Al Qaeda" and later "ultimately the money trail behind 9/11 is unimportant"

So the people who financed 9/11 are unimportant to the investigation? Interesting because one of the men who chaired the 9/11 commision had a 9/11 breakfast meeting with the man the ISA claims wired mohammed atta $100,000 US.

I swear if people could read and divert their attention from "reality tv" for a few moments they'd understand what kind of world we are living in. Then again I understand why people might not want to do that.

Well, a couple of years ago another entry would made you list:
Track a specific printout to the specific printer.

Now that the truth we know the truth, it doesn't seem that wackie. ;-)

Marco,

Yes, as I mentioned above, it seems like September 11th is surrounded by a lot of questionable things...

Thanks for sharing the Nazi thing (and no, hotlinked images aren't allowed :-)).

I wouldn't be surprised if the 9/11 one were true. I'm really not sure myself. There's a lot of stuff out there that's just too weird. One thing is sure: the events were quite 'beneficial' to the neo conservatists, to say the least.

On that nazi thing: I didn't know the moon base theory but try to search Google on nazi, ufo and antarctica. You'll find TONS and TONS of stuff on how the nazi's are supposed to have had UFO technology and how they fled to Antarctica where they might still be in fact.

It's crap of course but kinda cool. There's a lot of wicked illustrations too. Here's an example:

I know I might sight paranoid to you and all the folks out there reading this comment, but ever since I've read a book called "Operationt 9/11" by Gerhard Wisnewski (unfortunately, it's German) I do believe that the U.S. are behind what happened at 9/11. It's just too many things that do not fit, too many coincidences that happened at one single day.

And because of that, I would be glad if Dinosauroid-like Alien Reptiles would be dominating the World, and not a chimpanzee-like "Daddy-made-me-president" politics marionette in the White House. :D

It’s just too many things that do not fit, too many coincidences that happened at one single day.
